Everything was tasty and fresh. Despite being in takeout containers, the food had a nice presentation. We'll definitely be back to taste different dishes! Update: Feb 2024. We dined in and had the Salmon Combo (my husband said the fish was exceptional) and a Bulgogi Rice Bowl (I loved the sizzling hot bowl)! I like to try a place twice before recommending it to others. Menu items I’d order again: - any kind of sashimi (amazing quality and generous-sized slices) - ahi tower - summer roll - salmon maki roll Items I’d pass on: - salmon carpaccio (the sauce wasn’t it) - fried ice cream Overall, the price points are a bit higher compared to other local sushi places but the quality is 100% worth it. Important note: they’re known for their sashimi and sushi, so don’t expect much when you order ramen lol. If you want good ramen, go to a restaurant that specializes in it. ”

“ I went to Matsutake when they very first opened - second night or so. It was okay, but not great. Somewhat sloppy cutting of the fish. But!! We got takeout form there last weekend & it seems like they have their quality all sorted out. Although the roll with the cucumber was a bit awkward to eat it was *delicious* & I'd recommend it to someone looking for a lower-carb option for a roll. Sashimi was cleanly presented - a bit of a challenge when it's to-go - & the Yummy Crunchy appetizer was delightful. We'll be back! ”

“ My family tried Matsutake today for lunch. My son loves sushi, so that's always his first choice. We were greeted by a delightful server who made us feel welcome (even though we were on the later side for lunch). We never felt rushed, and he advised us so well. The food was exceptional. The tempura was crispy and light. My son's sushi was perfect. I had the tamarind tofu and the portion was so large that I'll be enjoying it for lunch tomorrow too. We will definitely be back! ”

I asked our kind waitress to choose for me, and she picked some excellent options—I’m not sure exactly what she brought, but I ate all of it! My son ordered the udon noodles with chicken, and he really enjoyed it. We had such a great time, and I highly recommend this local gem.
